"The well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless
and until its unity is firmly established."

Race RelationsBaha'is believe that all people come from the same spiritual source and reflect all the attributes of God, such as love, generosity, kindness, etc. We are one human family, and the differences between people are a rich resource for us as we can learn about the multiple ways of being human. Our job as individuals is to recognize all the things that we have in common, and respect and learn from differences that exist. For over a century, the U.S. Baha'i commitment to race unity has been expressed both internally, by creating a diverse and unified religious community, and externally through its efforts to achieve racial integration and justice throughout American society. The Baha'i Faith attracts people from every race and nationality who believe that the oneness of humanity is a reality. Baha'is are building communities based on love for all people. The power to make the vision of race unity a reality is within our grasp. Baha'is view racism as America's most challenging issue, an issue that, to the degree that it is resolved, will have a significant impact on establishing world peace. |
